Straight from the brains behind the Nintendo Wii, motion-sensing specialist and licensing company Movea, comes the Gyration Air Mouse Elite.

As with the Wii Remote Controller for the games console, this nifty gadget responds to natural hand movements, enabling a computer user to interact with their screen by cutting through the air with a mouse.

It’s designed with presentations in mind, enabling you to issue commands and initiate effects by using slight wrist movements, and its in-built radio frequencies mean that it can operate up to 30 metres away from the computer, even working through a wall in the next room (although demonstrating this function may not help your sales pitch).

The Air Mouse is also equipped with a range of effects and tools that recognise certain hand gestures. For example, you can turn the mouse cursor into a highlighter, laser pointer or pen, or gently swipe it to activate embedded media and other special effects.

Weighing in at just 3.3 ounces, this ergonomically designed tool promises to be a useful piece of kit for presentations, but watch out for Wii elbow the next morning.
