If you’ve got a treasure trove of digital music on your iPod but you’re sick of only being able to listen to it on a pair of earphones, the Cyrus LinkMini Two could make an excellent Christmas present to yourself.

Unlike many of its peers, this mp3 docking station allows the user to venture away from the ubiquitous iPod, offering the option to connect any non-apple mp3 as well.

The three-piece speaker system sports an active subwoofer and a full function remote control. It even has an S-video output, which – we’re told – allows you to watch films stored on your device through the TV. And if you’re worried that your iPod’s battery life won’t make the grade, fear not, for the docking station recharges the device as it plays.

Despite a high-gloss finish the system has a retro appearance, appealing to the younger generation’s penchant for the delights of yesteryear. Available in black or white, the LinkMini Two requires you to part with £60, a standard price tag for such a device and perhaps a little sweeter sounding than others.
