Technology trailblazers

We all know which technology firms are leading the world - but what about those operating under the radar.

Our efforts to bring you the very latest on venture capital and private equity deals involving UK companies and investors inevitably alerts us to a whole host of exciting companies.

More often that not, these tend to be fast-moving and innovative technology companies. It’s a fact of life that these are the companies getting the most attention from investors.

To coincide with our inaugural Tech Invest event, which was held in June, we’ve put together a list of what we think are some of the most interesting and promising technology companies in the UK.

We’ve spoken with each one of them to discover the inside story on the history, development and future prospects in store. Each profile provides a unique insight into the technology being developed, and how it is being taken out into the market.

Included in the Tech Innovators 2013 list are the likes of innovative mapping venture PIE Mapping, personal data security company SocialSafe and business video platform nideo.

The 25 companies on show are all in the digital, e-commerce and cleantech sectors and are making great strides within their chosen market.

Staying ahead of the game is a challenge for them all, but each have revealed to us the milestones which they are hoping to accomplish in the next year.

The journey from fledgling start-up to world dominator is a roller coaster of a ride, but we hope that you’ll join some of them at this stage to see where they’ll end up.
