System C Healthcare Plc, a Maidstone-based provider of specialist IT products and services to the healthcare sector, has acquired Kent-based rival Bluestar UK Group for up to £3 million.

System C Healthcare Plc, a Maidstone-based provider of specialist IT products and services to the healthcare sector, has acquired Kent-based rival Bluestar UK Group for up to £3 million.

In the year to 31 October 2008, Bluestar Group reported revenues of £2.7 million, and pre-tax profits of £200,000.

Ian Denley, System C chief executive, commented: “This is an excellent acquisition for System C which brings us a range of exciting healthcare technologies and products, and further strengthens our healthcare consulting capabilities.”

In the six months ended 30 November 2008, System C reported revenues up 24 per cent to £10.4 million, with pre-tax profits £1.9 million.
