Frozen sausage company Supreme Foods has completed a double acquisition which started with a merger with frozen food specialist Glendale Frozen Foods.

The enlarged business will be headquartered in Salford and will trade as Glendale Foods. The company then bought the Great British Pudding Company, a marketing and branding business for steak and kidney and other puddings served in pubs, for an undisclosed sum.

Supreme’s Paul Burkitt becomes managing director of Glendale Foods while Mark Jones is head of operations. Glendale’s managing director, John Mortimer, is chairman.

Burkitt and Jones bought a 50% stake in Glendale with Mortimer and his sister holding the balance.

Legal services were provided by George Davies Solicitors, with David Symonds and Clive Gawthorpe at UHY Hacker Young provided financial advice.
