Staffline buys The Workplace

Staffline, a Nottingham-based recruitment firm, has acquired Yorkshire rival The Workplace for an undisclosed sum.

Staffline, a Nottingham-based recruitment firm, has acquired Yorkshire rival The Workplace for an undisclosed sum. 

The Workplace is based in Checkheaton and was owned by Rodney and Margaret Hardcastle, who have retired to concentrate on other business interests. The company employs 14 people and generates revenues of £4.5 million.

Staffline has a turnover of £120 million and employs 200 people, who represent 7,000 contract workers.

Andy Hogarth, chairman and chief executive of Staffline, said: “This is the coming together of two great brands and is a fantastic opportunity for the business going forward. We will continue to look for similar opportunities to enhance the group.”
