Telecom services group Spiritel has completed its fourth acquisition in 12 months after acquiring voice and data systems supplier tdotcom in a deal that could be worth up to £260,000. London-based tdotcom will be integrated into Spiritel’s existing business.

The transaction will enable Spiritel to sell its voice, broadband, WiFi and line rental products and services to tdotcom’s customers. On completion, £40,000 was paid in cash, with £70,000 deferred, and the terms of the deal include a further £150,000 in cash payable in equal instalments after six, 12 and 18 months conditional on the business’ performance.

This acquisition forms part of Spiritel’s strategy of expanding its business division and adds more than 50 new customers to its portfolio, including BBC Worldwide, the City of London and the Barbican.

Spiritel is a consolidator of telecom resellers in the UK and operates through two divisions: Spiritel Technologies, an infrastructure and IP products and services provider, and its customer services operation, Spiritel Business.

In the 12 months to October this year, tdotcom made a £98,000 loss on a £706,000 turnover with estimated net liabilities of £250,000.
