Senator acquired Blackburn company Plan-it Welding Services for an undisclosed sum.

The vendor was advised by John Green, the managing director of Pierce Corporate Finance.

“We are delighted to have achieved a strategic sale to a substantially larger company which was in fact their major customer,” Green said. “It enables Bill Wilcock to finally retire and the minority shareholders, Terry Erangey and Stephen Clough, to have the opportunity to now prosper within the enlarged group.”

Senator was established in 1977 and manufacturers a range of office furniture that is sold around the world. It has a £76 million turnover with more than 900 employees.
