Managing director Julian Sanderson says that the company is ‘now actively looking to acquire other complementary marine businesses throughout the UK to strengthen our offering further’. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded 120 years ago, SC Chambers specialises in the trade and valuation of ships from cargo vessels to tankers. The company will continue trading under its own name.

Langtons Corporate Finance and Mace & Jones Solicitors helped structure the deal.
