S&D Leisure’s double deal

S&D Leisure, an operator of mobile leisure and flight simulators, has bought JG Services and Smart Simulation to form S&D Simulations.

  • Bond International Software plc has acquired Team Spirit Software and Headcount Services out of administration for £1 million cash to bolster its HR and payroll software services
  • Protectagroup, a subsidiary of Cullum Capital Ventures, has bought Culver Insurance Brokers for up to £6 million to expand its offering
  • Electronic engineer AT Group has been acquired by its management in a multi-million pound deal
  • Investment bank and stockbroker Blue Oar plc has completed the acquisition of competitor stockbroker Redmayne Bentley’s Stroud office for up to £516,000 in cash and shares
  • Capita Symonds has purchased rival mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy Pearce Buckle

Deals in the pipeline:

  • Babcock & Brown Public Partnerships is set to buy approximately 5 per cent of rolling stock business Angel Trains UK for up to £25 million
  • Lear, a North American supplier of automated electronic products and seating systems, is set to acquire 75 per cent of the automotive fabric business of New Trend Group
  • Manx online gaming software supplier Playtech said it plans to raise up to £112 million, before expenses, through a placing of up to 21.6 million shares at 520 pence on AIM. The company said the cash will fund acquisitions
  • Dutch meat producer Vion has agreed to buy Scotland-based Grampian Country Food Group in a deal reported to be worth up to £400 million
