Painting and commercial fit-out contractor S Lucas has undergone a management buy-out (MBO) led by MD Danny Lucas.

Painting and commercial fit-out contractor S Lucas has undergone a management buy-out (MBO) led by MD Danny Lucas.

Danny Lucas is taking over control of the business from his father, Sam Lucas, who founded the company. He is joined by commercial director Ken Mulholland.

Lucas says there are ‘a number of good jobs’ on the Kent-based company’s order book. It has previously worked on projects including Heathrow’s Terminal 5, the O2 and the 2012 Olympic Stadium, and has annual sales of approximately £8 million.

Corporate finance firm Meta advised on the transaction, led by managing director Mark Ledger-Beadell.
