Mumbai-based information technology (IT) business Rolta has acquired public safety and response company ACLS Systems for an undisclosed amount.
Mumbai-based information technology (IT) business Rolta has acquired public safety and response company ACLS Systems for an undisclosed amount.
Under the terms of the deal the purchase includes the ‘full portfolio’ of ACLS software technology including its source code and design documentation.
Dubai-headquartered ACLS provides software which is used in homeland security and emergency response areas. Its products are used for managing multi-agency industries such as police, fire brigade and ambulance services.
K Singh, chairman and chief executive officer of Rolta, says that customers in Rolta’s Homeland Security Solutions segment will benefit form the acquisition.
According to a statement, by integrating the ACLS Systems software with Rolta, the company will be able to address the needs of security agencies for homeland and maritime security applications.
Rolta operates as a subsidiary in the UK, with offices in Berkshire, as Rolta UK.
The deal is the first for Rolta since its acquisition of US-based OneGIS, a consulting, development and IT integrations business.
