London-based insurer Randall & Quilter has acquired JMD Specialist Insurance Services Group for £2 million.

London-based insurer Randall & Quilter has acquired JMD Specialist Insurance Services Group for £2 million.

JMD specialises in credit control services for the London insurance market. The deal comes after Randall & Quilter’s recent acquisition of US-based insurer Goldstreet.

Ken Randall, CEO of Randall & Quilter, said: ‘[The deal] signals a significant expansion of our service offering to active underwriting entities in the London market.’

In the six months to June 2009, Randall & Quilter reported turnover of £10.6 million and a decrease in pre-tax profits of 73 per cent to £1.2 million.
