Mid Europa Partners has bought by a controlling interest in Serbia Broadband, a cable TV and Internet provider in Serbia.

The shareholding was sold by SEEF I, a fund managed by Bedminster Capital Management, for an undisclosed sum.

Mid Europa appointed Hardiman Telecoms to manage commercial and technical due diligence reviews, which were led by managing director Darragh Stokes.

Stokes said Hardiman’s experience and knowledge of the cable and broadband sectors and its knowledge of Eastern Europe supported the detailed analysis undertaken by the team to support the valuation.

“The strong growth potential of the Serbian cable, Internet and broadband markets offers a very good opportunity for SBB to continue to grow its multi-service approach to the cable market,” he added.
