Global drinks giant Pernod Ricard has sold Serkova Vodka, its vodka brand in the Greek market to Amvyx SA, a major producer, importer and distributor of wines and spirits in Greece. The size of the deal remains undisclosed.

The deal comes on the back of the group’s obligation to the European Commission to divest a number of brands as part of its €5.6 billion acquisition of Vin & Spirit, the maker of Absolut Vodka from the Swedish government last year.

Last year, Pernod, whose brands include Chivas Regal, Beefeater Gin and Jameson Irish Whisky, reported solid growth with profits of €1.6 billion on a turnover of €6.6 billion.
