Packaging and lighting manufacturer Pelican Products has expanded its presence in the Australian market by acquiring custom packaging suppliers Trimcast.

US-based Pelican has offices in the UK and provides products to be used in extreme conditions to markets such as aerospace, military and security.

Lyndon Faulkner, CEO of Pelican, says that Trimcast meets the company’s acquisition criteria of the right business goals, culture and outlook.

Trimcast manufactures protective transport cases for the Australian Defence Force and NATO forces.

The deal has been completed for an undisclosed amount.

Alan Gibson, founder of Trimcast, comments: ‘Pelican Products as a multi-national company will automatically multiply Trimcast’s market for custom packaging solutions.’

Pelican operates in 12 countries with a total of 22 offices and five manufacturing facilities.
