Parc Aviation acquires SGI Aviation

Aviation personnel provider Parc Aviation has agreed to acquire Dublin-based SGI Aviation (SGIA) for an undisclosed amount.

Parc Aviation is part of airline services group Oxford Aviation Academy, which acquired Parc in 2008.

SGIA is a provider of Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), which relates to the ownership and management of commercial aircraft and engines.

As part of the deal, SGIA will be rebranded Parc Aviation Engineering Services within Parc’s technical support division, and its staff will relocate to Parc’s headquarters in Dublin.

Sean Butler, CEO of Parc comments: ‘We will look to significantly develop and expand the business across the aircraft and airline industry.’

The rebranded SGIA will continue to be led by current managing director Liam Sisk, who comments: ‘I believe all of our customers will see significant value in us being a part of a leading global aviation service.’

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
