Office Friends, a Lincolnshire-based member of office style dealer group Nemo, has acquired Rapid Office Equipment of Grimsby. The owners have decided to continue their membership of Nemo. Both companies will now operate from the Rapid site.

Office Friends, a Lincolnshire-based member of office style dealer group Nemo, has acquired Rapid Office Equipment of Grimsby. The owners have decided to continue their membership of Nemo. Both companies will now operate from the Rapid site.

Leonard Booth of Pelham Chartered Accountants led the team acting for Office Friends, assisted by Pelham partner Chris Hunt. Pelham has a long-standing relationship with Office Friends, advising on accounts preparation, tax and business development since Booth acted for two directors in the management buy-out of the then Office Friends Ltd.

Booth said: “The new acquisition has doubled the size of Office Friends and removed one of its major competitors in Rapid Office. It has also enhanced Office Friends’ buying capabilities, with several suppliers vying for their business.

“These factors, together with cost savings, have made Office Friends a much more profitable business.”
