Foreman Roberts was sold to a team led by managing director Stuart Alexander.
Alexander, who remains in the post he has held since 2004, completed the deal after securing £7 million from NVM Private Equity. NVM’s investment was co-ordinated by Peter Hodson, who says the firm backed this deal due to favourable legislative changes in the building services industry and the calibre of the buy-out team.
Clive Williams, a former managing partner of Ernst & Young and chief executive of Capgemini UK, joins the board of the bought-out company as non-executive chairman.
Foreman Roberts advises the office, technology, retail and education sectors on building design, facilities management and engineering. It has worked on projects such as Heron Tower, Bankside, and Bluewater.
NVM Private Equity manages over £180 million of funds. The firm makes investments of between £1 million and £10 million in unquoted companies throughout the UK.
