Social recruiting website BraveNewTalent.com has secured venture capital funding from Northzone Ventures and two business angels, Pierce Casey and Mike Bourne.

Bjorn Stray, co-founder and partner at Northzone, will join the BraveNewTalent board as the business aims to develop internationally and increase headcount. Stray sat on the board of continental European social media recruiter Stepstone between 1996 and 2009.

According to a company statement, the funding will help pay for further development of the online platform, which allows employers to recruit and jobseekers to search for positions online. Details of the fundraising have not been disclosed.

BraveNewTalent founder and chief executive Lucian Tarnowski comments: ‘This venture investment allows us to pursue the global social recruiting opportunity.’
