London-listed and launched in 1995, Northern Venture Trust is managed by NVM Private Equity. Its current investments include the Paladin Group and Arleigh International.

Tim Levett, NVM Chairman, comments: ‘We have had a tremendous fifteen months in terms of selling investments, and all of our funds have a good level of balance sheet liquidity. However the next phase in the economic cycle will be one in which we focus our attention on new investments, and we are already seeing much improved dealflow.’

Newcastle upon Tyne-based NVM currently manages funds totalling £186 million and invests between £2 million and £10 million in private UK companies.

Over the past fifteen months NVM has made a number of exits from its investment companies, generating £15.5 million for Northern Venture Trust.
