Morson acquires Acetech Personnel

Morson has acquired the recruitment company Acetech Personnel for £2.35 million.

The acquisition, which includes Acetech’s recruitment database, is to be financed from Morson’s existing facilities.

Acetech is a wholly owned subsidiary of Babcock International Group and acts as its in-house recruitment business. Babcock is an engineering support services company working in the defence, energy, telecommunications and transport sectors.

Under the terms of the deal, Acetech will continue to supply contractors to Babcock for a minimum of five years. The acquisition will also involve the transfer of eighteen staff to the Morson Group.

Manchester-based Morson was established in 1969, and is a technical recruitment company specialising in engineering personnel.

The deal follows Morson’s acquisition in June of the recruitment company Wynnwith group for £7.75 million.

Ged Mason, Morson chief executive, says: ‘We are very pleased to welcome the experienced staff of Acetech and look forward to providing our services to the Babcock Group.’
