Monomoy Capital Partners acquires Global Thermoplastics

Monomoy Capital Partners, a New York private equity fund, has acquired the assets and operations of Global Thermoplastics, a Texas-based manufacturer of engineered compounds for plastic moulding applications. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Done Deals

  • Connecticut-based private equity firm Clearview Capital has acquired Troy Industries, a North Carolina-based manufacturer of decorative films used in plastic lamination applications.
  • The Cheese Company has been sold in a management buy-out led by senior managers Nick Martin and Jonnie Archer as well as sales director Simon Yorke, and backed by Straumur Burdaras Investment Bank. The details of the deal were not disclosed.
  • NCC Group Plc, an international provider of escrow services, assurance testing and consultancy services, has acquired the remaining 76 per cent interest in Escrow Europe Switzerland, a Zurich-based franchise operation of Escrow Europe, for up to CHF900,000 (£500,000) in cash. The group acquired the initial 24 per cent stake in January 2008.

  • US-based media and entertainment company Walt Disney has acquired an interest of up to 25 per cent in Hulu, an online video group. The size of the deal was not disclosed.
