MMC gives Ibis wings

Ibis Project Services, a Henley-based company providing project management solutions to UK housing associations, has received £1.8 million of expansion capital from venture capital firm MMC Ventures.

Ibis Project Services, a Henley-based company providing project management solutions to UK housing associations, has received £1.8 million of expansion capital from venture capital firm MMC Ventures.

Led by founder Rupert Ruff, Ibis intends to use the cash to expand its’ operations and strengthen its’ management team. Property lawyer Aidan Mills-Thomas is the first of the new arrivals, joining the firm’s executive team. MMC investor Roger Carey, meanwhile, has been appointed group chairman.

‘This funding will enable us to realise Ibis’ further potential,’ Ruff comments. ‘We will be actively recruiting talented individuals to manage the large number of new projects that are due to start during the next 18 months and the management team will be considerably strengthened by Aidan and Roger’s presence.’

Founded in 1990, Ibis has overseen the construction of more than 2,500 affordable homes thus far.
