Mercer’s Italian human capital business has merged with Tesi, an Italian consulting firm also specialising in human capital services. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
The merger creates a new consultancy advising domestic and international companies on human capital issues. The combined business, Mercer Tesi will be the largest player in the market, with some 105 employees based in Milan and Rome.
M Michele Burns, Mercer global chairman and CEO, said: “We see Italy, with its broad multinational client base, as a key growth market for our human capital business, which we are aggressively expanding across Europe. Tesi provides us with important client relationships and expertise that will give us the edge in the Italian market place. This strengthens our relationships with clients as we deliver other Mercer consulting, outsourcing and investment sources.”
Roberto Protasoni, Tesi CEO, added: “The combining of our two operations will secure our long-term strategic growth and the broadening of our services to clients.”
