Mansell Group in private equity buy-out

Private equity firm The Riverside Company has acquired email marketing group Mansell.

Private equity firm The Riverside Company has acquired email marketing group Mansell.

Mansell is the first investment funded from Riverside Micro-Cap Fund II. The Riverside Company is a global private equity firm with $3 billion (£2 billion) under management.

Further financing for the deal was provided by Fifth Street Capital and Jones Day was the legal advisor.

Loren Schlachet, managing partner at Riverside says: ‘We see a lot of growth potential in Mansell, both via add-on acquisition and through enhanced sales.’

Atlanta-based Mansell Group was founded in 2000 and provides email marketing, SMS mobile marketing and broadcast voice messaging. The company has more than 250 corporate and non-profit clients including AirTran Airways and Thomson Corporation.
