Leeds-based shower tray manufacturer Just Trays has undergone a management buyout, backed by Gresham Private Equity for an undisclosed sum.

The group, which now has an estimated 20 per cent share of the UK shower tray market, boasts a range of high-end products with several more designs in the pipeline. Current managing director Paul Crossley led the MBO and will be supported by new chairman Ian Stuart, who also chairs fellow shower specialist Aqualisa.

‘The building products market was tough in 2005, with 2006 improving,’ Gresham investment director Paul Franks asserts. ‘Those that have and will continue to prosper are the innovative customer-facing businesses like Just Trays.
