- Runcorn-based Phoenix Medical Supplies has acquired Computer Systems for Distribution of Stafford for an undisclosed sum. Source: Crain’s Manchester Business
- Cambridge-based CSR has acquired SiRF, the US manufacturer of microchips for GPS systems, in an all-share deal worth £91 million. Following completion, SiRF shareholders will own some 27 per cent of the enlarged CSR group.
- Morse Plc, the IT services and technology company, has disposed of its loss-making UK and Jersey investment management consultancy business to Navigant Consulting, an intenational management consultancy listed on the NYSE, in a deal worth up to £1.7 million.
- Bachy Soletanche has bought Simplex Foundations, the North East-based piling contractor, from Norwest Holst for undisclosed terms.
- PR company Paver Smith, with operations in Liverpool and Manchester, has scooped Pazang PR, the Wilmslow-based public relations agency.
