Husband and wife duo buy manufacturer

A Sheffield-based electrical safety enclosures manufacturer has been bought by its husband and wife management team. AB Controls and Technologies, which also makes electrical junction boxes, is now under the control of Mike and Avril Lancashire.

A Sheffield-based electrical safety enclosures manufacturer has been bought by its husband and wife management team. AB Controls and Technologies, which also makes electrical junction boxes, is now under the control of Mike and Avril Lancashire.

The duo also bought AB’s Alan Bennett Controls subsidiary as well as its US and German operations. The two UK businesses were merged and will now trade as Abtech UK.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed but it was backed by the South Yorkshire Investment Fund, Barclays Bank and Barclays Invoice Finance.
