In a bid to accelerate growth of the online consumer businesses it invests in, private equity firm Piper has recruited Leon Hughes, former director of e-commerce at one of its investee companies, Maximuscle.

In a bid to accelerate growth of the online consumer businesses it invests in, private equity firm Piper has recruited Leon Hughes, former director of e-commerce at one of its investee companies, Maximuscle.

At the fitness company, Hughes established the online and IT infrastructure, creating over 20 e-commerce sites. His new role will see him working with Piper’s existing portfolio companies, which include Diet Chef, Boden and Celtic Sheepskin, while also helping the firm to carry out due diligence work on prospective investments more effectively.
