Hermes Private Equity buys Syminton’s and all today’s headlines

In today's headlines Cello Group has acquired Magentic Advertising Company for £2.75 million and Sanderson buys Retail Business Solutions Group for £14 million.

Done Deals:

  • Intertek Group, a provider of quality and safety services to a range of industries, has acquired US software testing firm National Software Testing Labs for $24 million (£12.04 million)
  • Intertek Group has also purchased an Australia-based minerals and environmental analytical testing laboratory, Northern Territory Environmental Laboratories, for undisclosed terms
  • Hermes Private Equity has acquired food manufacturer Syminton’s from Gresham Private Equity for an undisclosed sum
  • Cello Group, a market research and consulting firm, has acquired direct marketing support business Magnetic Advertising Company for £2.75 million
  • The management at Metaldeck, a flooring solutions provider to the construction industry, has taken over the business for undisclosed terms. The deal was backed by RBS
  • Online travel group Travelzest has acquired music travel operator JMB Travel Consultants for £700,000
  • Property consultant Dreweatt Neate has merged Sutton Griffin, an architectural practice, for undisclosed terms
  • Software and IT services supplier Sanderson Group has bolstered its service with the £14 million acquisition of Retail Business Solutions Group
  • Buy-to-let property investor Imagine Homes has secured £37.5 million of expansion capital from Bank of Scotland Corporate
  • Avon Care Homes has added to its domiciliary care operations with the purchase of Sutton Veny House for an undisclosed fee
  • Menzies Hotels has expanded its portfolio after buying eight hotels for £54 million
  • Steel structure supplier The AA Group has undergone a management buy-out for undisclosed terms, backed by The Royal Bank of Scotland<
  • Care homes company Pembrokeshire Care has been bought by its management for an undisclosed fee
