Green Compliance increases fire protection

Acquisitive support services company Green Compliance has bought FDSA Fire Protection Services for £550,000.

The acquisition was financed from Green Compliance’s recent £5.5 million fundraising on AIM, which also supported the acquisition of Pestfree Environmental Services for £1.63 million in November.

John Prowse, CEO of Green Compliance, comments: ‘The acquisition of FDSA is our fourth within the fire protection sector and allows us to [increase] our presence in London and the South East. It is also in line with our successful strategy to expand our focussed growth within the “blue collar” compliance marketplace.’

Established in 1988, London-based FDSA provides fire safety services including the maintenance and installation of fire protection equipment to organisations such as schools and hotels across London and the South East. The company currently has nine staff and in the year to March 2010 declared a net profit of £109,000 on a turnover of £670,000.

Gloucestershire-based Green Compliance provides control and compliance services to UK businesses, covering areas such as fire protection and pest control. FDSA will be integrated into the company’s existing fire operations.
