Private equity firm ISIS has invested £4 million in the online retailer Getting Personal.

Manchester-based Getting Personal was established in 2005 by John Smith and Giles Harridge, and produces personalised cards and gifts which are sold through its website GettingPersonal.co.uk.

In 2009 the company recorded sales of £9.6 million and had six million visitors to its site.

John Smith, co-founder and joint managing director of GettingPersonal says: ‘The business has grown rapidly over the past five years and we still believe there is further scope for expansion in both product portfolio and our marketing capability.’

Under the deal Steve Richards, former CEO of online flower retailer Interflora, will join the board as chairman.
