The studio, which formed TT Centroid to complete the deal, will continue to employ Centroid’s 10 UK employees and 12 members of staff at its Serbian subsidiary. The acquired business will now be based at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
TT Centroid spokeswoman Claire Terry at Freshfield PR said: “Expansion and increased staff levels are expected, if not now then certainly in future.”
The acquirer was advised by Debbie King, Farleys Solicitors’ company law partner, with Andy Ball, a tax partner at Cowgill Holloway, and tax consultant Lisa Watson providing financial advice.
TT’s managing director, Jon Burton, said: “Acquiring Centroid Motion Capture allows us to add a further skill-set to the TT Games Group and strengthen our connections within the video games industry.
“We are also very excited by the lease we have secured for the new company at Pinewood Studios, as this is where some of the biggest films in the country are produced and will increase our presence in the film making industry,” he added.
