The deal, for which figures were undisclosed, sees Smith become director and shareholder of fuse8, with Radiant’s team relocating to fuse8’s headquarters in Leeds.

Nigel Hunter, fuse8’s managing director, said: “Rob is a highly respected PR practitioner. We worked alongside him and the Radiant team on a number of projects over the course of 12 months.”

fuse8 has an annual fee income of £4.5 million, with offices in Leeds, London and Chelyabinsk, Russia. Clients include inward investment agency Gateway to London, STORM Watches, domestic appliance manufacturer Miele and sustainable community developer Bioregional Quintain.

Smith commented: “This is a compelling proposition that clearly differentiates the business from the competition and provides a strong foundation for growing our public relations offer.”
