Fisher was an early investor in First Capital, and during his time there worked with a number of early-stage companies including Rawflow, Reevoo.com and OmniPerception. Before joining First Capital, he was employed by Citibank and Salomon Smith Barney.

Frederic Court, a partner at Advent Ventures, says: ‘[Fisher’s] outstanding track record in finding and working with web, digital media and convergence focused companies will be a significant asset for the team.’

Founded in 1981, Advent Ventures invests in the information technology and life sciences sectors. The firm manages £500 million on behalf of institutional investors in Europe and the US.
