Equity firm Baird backs Choices deal

Baird Capital Partners Europe, the UK mid-market arm of Baird Private Equity, has backed portfolio company Choices Holdings' acquisition of care group Domiciliary Care, based in Glasgow, for undisclosed terms.

The Scottish care provider was acquired in 2006 when Baird Capital Partners Europe, then known as Granville Baird Capital Partners, put £10 million into the management buyout.

Choices is a provider of assisted living and residential care services to people with learning difficulties.

Domiciliary employs some 350 staff, as well as owning a nurse/care agency for NHS Glasgow and Clyde.

Baird Private Equity\s other healthcare investments include Corin, Ultralase, Healthcare Scotland, Adams Healthcare, Castlecare, Stericycle, Celleration and Frontage Laboratories.
