Amdega, a maker of timber conservatories established in 1874, has been acquired by turnaround firm Endless.

The acquisition for an undisclosed sum is the tenth deal from Endless’s second fund, and follows deals with other companies in the home improvement and building products sectors such as Crown Paints and Neville Johnson.

Endless investment director Aidan Robson says, ‘This fresh investment marks a significant point in Amdega’s long and illustrious history, and will provide the business with the capital to implement a series of strategic development and improvement initiatives.’

As part of the deal, Steve Sutherland, chairman of UK building facade contractor Dortech Architectural Systems, joins Amdega as executive chairman. Sutherland previously worked with Endless as chairman of Neville Johnson.

HSBC provided funding for the deal alongside Endless.
