Elite ends year with biggest deal

Business telecoms company Elite Telecom has made its largest purchase of the year by acquiring London-based GPNS.

GPNS provides telecom services to businesses which are ‘multi-site organisations’ through its voice data networks.

The deal, worth £4.9 million, is said by Elite Telecom to increase its revenue by £3.5 million and gain 275 new customers in London.

Chief executive of Elite Telecom Matt Newing, comments: ‘This latest acquisition is a real anchor for our growth plans for the coming 12 months, which will see Elite continue to increase its prominence in the UK business telecoms industry.

‘Small, high quality telecoms companies like GPNS will add real value to our current services.’

Lancashire-headquartered Elite has appeared four times in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

In June Elite acquired Cardiff-based XL Networks and followed it up with the purchase of Shropshire business Tariff Reduction Services in October. Both deals were completed for an undisclosed amount.
