The finance for the deal was drawn from existing bank facilities, and follows e2v’s purchase of Atmel Grenoble in July last year.

Based in Neuchatel, Switzerland, MiCS designs and manufactures specialist semiconductors primarily focused on air quality sensors for automotive applications.

Legal firm Birkett Long, based in Essex, has acted for e2v technologies since 2005. The team was led by partner David Wisbey, working closely with Swiss law firm Schellenberg Wittmer to finalise the deal.
