Singulart hangs £51m investment in online art gallery
Singulart, the online art gallery representing over 10,000 artists, has raised €60m (£51m) from Vitruvian Partners, along with previous investors Ventech, BPI France and Turenne Group. The gallery represents artists from over 146 countries. Singulart says it has achieved 100 per cent growth since the start of 2021.
Omlet cracks £33m minority stake sale to Piper
Omlet, a pet accessories business which makes coops and hi-vis vests for chickens, has sold a significant minority stake for £33m to private equity firm Piper. Banbury-based Omlet has sold more than 125,000 of its £750 Eglu plastic chicken coops to customers including John Cleese and chef Nadiya Hussain. It is expected to reach sales of £40m this year.
Vauban closes £4.7m for venture capital platform
Vauban, a platform which provides VCs and angel investors the tools to raise funds, create angel syndicates and manage investments, has closed £4.7m in funding itself. Pentech and Outward co-led the funding round, alongside 7percent Ventures, MJ Hudson and angel investors. Over $1bn has already been invested through the platform, whose VC users include Octopus Ventures, Anthemis and Passion Capital.
Synchtank gets in sync with £4.4m Series A round
Synchtank, a B2B SaaS company that provides asset and rights management and royalty accounting solutions for the music and media industries, has completed a $5.8 million (£4.4m) Series A fundraise. The round was led by Octopus Ventures, with participation from existing management and shareholders. Synchtank, whose clients include Warner Music, NFL, Vice, and the majority of Hollywood studios, has raised $6.6m over the past year alone.
Feast It tucks into £4.2m funding round
Feast It, which enables people to book event suppliers, has raised €5m (£4.2m) in a funding round led by Fuel Ventures alongside Best Nights VC. Founded in 2017, Feast It earned €14m in 2021 with more than 80,000 people using the platform to plan their event, with suppliers giving over 200,000 quotes. Early investors included Sarah Willingham, the former Dragons’ Den judge, and Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman.
Future Planet Capital raising £2.5m through Seedrs
Future Planet Capital, the venture capital fund which raised £1.5m on Seedrs last year, is now raising another £2.5 through the platform. Future Planet Capital has made investments in over 100 companies to date. And it has bought two venture capital firms, Milltrust Agricultural Investments (MAI) and RT Capital (RT). MAI is the investment adviser the British Innovation Fund established to invest in university spinouts, while RT Capital is a boutique fund focused on healthcare and genomics coming out of the Oxbridge ecosystem.
SearchLand finds £200,000 seed investment
SearchLand, a search engine which enables property developers to find sites and contact landowners, has raised £200,000 in seed investment from angel investors. The funding round was part SEIS and part EIS. The start-up is planning a Series A round on 2023.
