Strathberry bags £8m BGF investment
Business Growth Fund has invested £8m in Scottish accessories brand Strathberry to help support its growth. Founded in 2013 by Guy and Leeanne Hundleby, Strathberry has opened in luxury London addresses Burlington Arcade, Kings Road and Covent Garden, as well as boutiques in its hometown of Edinburgh. The handbag brand now sells in 70 countries worldwide.
SamsonVT strengthens with £3.8m seed investment
Manchester-based tech start-up SamsonVT has received $5.1m (£3.8m) in seed funding led by Par Equity, with participation from US-based Blumberg Capital. SamsonVT creates immersive 3D models replacing paper-based technical manuals and part catalogues, which then connect engineers to the supply chain to order parts. Clients already include Lotus and Norton motorcycles.

Mortgage broker Haysto arranges £1m investment
Mortgage broker Haysto, which specialises in mortgages for the self-employed and those with weak credit histories rejected by high street banks, has received £1m investment from OakNorth CEO and co-founder Rishi Khosla and Salesforce veteran Dr Steve Garnett, named as one of the most influential Britons in technology by the Daily Telegraph.
Inverleith raises glass to Eden Mill St Andrews gin
Consumer brand investor Inverleith LLP has taken a majority stake in Eden Mill St Andrews, a Scottish craft gin and whisky brand. Eden Mill St Andrews, which is launching its own malt whisky, is building one of the world’s first climate-positive distilleries based on the University of St Andrews Eden Campus, a site dedicated to zero-carbon and sustainable businesses.
