Scottish cleaning company Contract Solutions Grampian (CSG) has made its third acquisition in the past 18 months by buying Bon Accord Cleaning Services.
CSG currently services 275 sites with its core territory in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Its headcount will now rise to 300 people.
The commercial contract cleaners previously acquired Norsco Facilities and Thorough Clean. Together the three businesses have sales of £1 million and 90 staff.
CSG’s commercial director Calum Johnston comments: ‘This latest acquisition reflects the success of our growth management strategy.
‘It’s given us a particularly good start to the year and hopefully will set the trend for the rest of 2011 as we’re always in the market for fresh opportunities.’
The two previous acquisitions had been out of liquidation, with the buy-outs giving CSG contracts in new areas.
Johnston also comments: ‘We thrive on the ability to strike while the iron is hot. And that’s what happened with Norsco, we were able to move quickly.’
