ContentFilm Plc, an AIM-listed owner of media rights with film, TV and digital sales divisions, has invested in Collins Avenue, a new US reality television production company.

  • Oil and gas explorer Egdon Resources plc has agreed to increase its stake in two onshore licences in Southern England with the acquisition of YCI Resources from Heyco Energy Group. The size of the all-share deal has not been disclosed.
  • Atlas Corporate Services has announced that it is looking for pre-IPO funding prior to an eventual admission to AIM within the next 12 to 18 months.
  • Spanish private equity house GED Capital is set to buy Romanian-based lab equipment distributor Diametrix. The deal is estimated to worth €15 million (£13.5 million), with GED taking almost 80 per cent in the company. Source: Invest IQ
  • EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc, has announced the acquisition of PicoSolve, Inc., a private test and measurement company and Swedish university spin-off. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
  • Insurance giant Aviva Plc has disposed of the British School of Motoring and its subsidiaries to Arques Industries AG, an acquirer of underperforming companies. The gross assets of the business, which is one of the UK’s largest driving schools, total £36 million.
  • Factual media company Ten Alps has raised £3 million to take advantage of potential acquisition opportunities in the sector.
  • Bombed-out Victoria Oil & Gas says it is awaiting the results of studies of its proposed acquisition Falcon Petroleum’s Ethiopian assets.
  • AMCS, which supplies technology to the waste and recycling industry, has secured €5.25 million (£4.5 million) to fund continued global expansion.
