The £1.6 million deal is the seventh acquisition for the Surrey-headquartered company in 2011, with previous purchases involving businesses from India, Holland and the US.

It its interim statement last month Compass said that it had committed £140 million for acquisitions in the first half of the year. ‘We are continuing to seek out value creating small to mid-sized acquisition opportunities and we are encouraged by the pipeline,’ a statement from the company says.

Compass began its 2011 acquisition push with the purchase of Swedish food service business Menke Menue in January. Its second buy came in March in the form of Coffee Distributing Corp, a coffee and refreshment service company.

Four further purchases were made in March and April, those being Holland-based Elior Nederland BV, UK-based PPP-Infrastructure Management and Indian businesses Vipul Facility Management and Ultimate Hospitality Services.
