- Switzerland-based SGS Minerals Services has acquired Cornwall-based Holman-Wilfley Associates, a provider of metallurgy testing and consulting services to the global mineral processing industry, for undisclosed terms.
- Creation Technologies, a global provider and expert in manufacturing electronic products, has acquired Calfornia-based EMS provider ProWorks for an undisclosed sum.
- UK-based game rental site Whybuygames.com has acquired game-swapping network Gameshare in an attempt to create a nationwide community for second-hand goods transfer. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
- British audio and video manufacturer Meridian Audio has acquired New York-based media server company Sooloos for an undisclosed sum.
- UK-based Vizimo, whose next-generation guidance system enables users to manage and watch TV and video content on a multi-media platform, has acquired London-based TIOTI, an online video guide start-up. The price was not disclosed.

- Micro Focus International, a provider of software that allows companies to improve the business value of their enterprise applications, has agreed to acquire Relativity Technologies, a specialist in enterprise application modernisation services, for some US$9.7 million (£6.5 million).
- US-listed company Fox Petroleum, a specialist in oil and gas projects that is headquartered in the UK, has made an all-share offer for Minmet, a Dublin-based developer of oil, gas and minerals exploration and extraction opportunities.
