A Derbyshire businessman has bought a procurement directory for local government and public sector products and services. Gerry O’Rourke and his wife Rachael have acquired The Buyers Guide for £1 million.

A Derbyshire businessman has bought a procurement directory for local government and public sector products and services. Gerry O’Rourke and his wife Rachael have acquired The Buyers Guide for £1 million.

The purchaser’s legal adviser was Freeth Cartwright, which was led by from its Derby office by Mike Copestake and Jenny Eades.

“The deal was a success because of the team work from everyone involved and because of a desire in all parties to get the right deal for all concerned,” Copestake said. “By staying ahead of the challenges which inevitably arose, we were able to steer the transaction to a successful conclusion.

“We are sure that Gerry’s energy and good humour will mean a great boost for the business and its future,” he added.
