Brooks quits Sovereign

Sovereign Capital managing partner Peter Brooks has resigned from the lower mid-market private equity firm to pursue other interests after almost seven years with the group.

Brooks, who will remain a non-executive director at several of Sovereign’s portfolio companies, comments ‘I am proud to have led an exceptional team. Sovereign’s success is a reflection of the quality and capability of my fellow partners and team, whom I know will continue to build upon Sovereign’s position in the UK market.’

Sovereign – which earlier this year completed a £275 million fundraising for its latest investment fund and has established a strong reputation for itself in the education and healthcare sectors in particular – will now be led by executive partners Andrew Hayden, Ryan Robson and Michael Needley.
