Ultra Electronics Holdings has purchased UK-based AEP networks for a total of £48 million.

Defence supplier Ultra Electronics is to pay an initial consideration of £36.7 million with an additional £11.1 million payable based on financial results for the year ending 31 December 2011.

Berkshire-headquartered AEP Networks is to operate as a separate but wholly-owned subsidiary of Ultra Electronics.

According to a statement Ultra Electronics gives AEP Network’s customers access to additional resources such as intellectual property, supply chain, research and development and a bigger global footprint.
