Fertility services business CARE Facility Group (CARE) has teamed up with Bowmark Capital to take control of the business.
According to the company, it is the largest provider of independent healthcare through the BMI Healthcare network of 70 hospitals and clinics.
In its present guise CARE has four IVG clinics in Nottingham, Manchester, Northampton and Sheffield, and is backed up by nine other satellite centres.
The deal, which has been made for an undisclosed amount, will now see the private equity-backed company open ‘several’ new clinics, with the first expected in Dublin in the next few months.
CARE is also looking to broaden its geographic coverage, particularly in the South East of England.
Bowmark Capital was founded in 1997 and has a focus on smaller UK companies. The firm manages and advises funds totalling £700 million.
Managing director Charles Ind featured in the Business XL Power Top 50 2012 list, finishing at number 12, after what he described as an ‘amazing year’ for Bowmark.
